AE 481/482 Reflection

The assignments of this year-long capstone experience were helpful in further understanding and evaluating a construction project as a whole. This coupled with the mechanical and structural investigations allowed a better understanding of the requirements of engineering alternate design methods on a large scale projects. The time constraints of this course was acceptable and achievable only though a focused effort to complete the assignments before the required deadlines. The areas researched and technical approach to problem solving will be beneficial to my long career ahead of me.

CPEP Reflection

The CPEP website requirement of this course was a helpful presentation tool that allowed the results of this year-long experiences to be effectively communicated to my instructors, peers and industry professionals.

The following table is an ABET outcome assessment of the AE 481/482 courses. The outcomes reflect a personal assessment, not the course instructors.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Yesha Pandya. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
